Heavy rains lashed the national capital on Sunday, leading to severe water logging in low-lying areas and a drop in the minimum temperature which settled at 25 degrees Celsius.

New Delhi: Heavy rains lashed the national capital on Sunday, leading to severe water logging in low-lying areas and a drop in the minimum temperature which settled at 25 degrees Celsius.

The city received 30.2 mm rains from 6:30 to 8.30 AM. "The skies will be generally cloudy. Rain or thundershower would occur in some places. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 32 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively," the MeT forecast said.

Continuous rains led to water logging in various places of the city.

The humidity at 8.30 am was recorded at 98 per cent. On Saturday, the maximum temperature settled at 30.8 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average while the minimum was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal.
