A division bench of the High Court, comprising justices V Eswaraiah and Noushad Ali, will hear the writ appeals filed by the Medical Council of India (MCI) challenging a single judge’s direction to it to sanction 50 additional MBBS seats each to the Osmania and Kakatiya medical colleges for the academic year 2012-13.
The bench, while dealing with the MCI writs on Tuesday, directed the registry to attach the petitions filed by the two medical colleges which are pending before the single judge, to the MCI’s writs for final hearing on Tuesday next.
