BANGALORE: The High Court on Tuesday upheld the decision of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Council which had decided to remove illegal Optical Fibre Cable (OFC) laid by private service providers in the city.Challenging the decision of the BBMP Council to remove unauthorised OFCs,the service providers had moved High Court to quash the Council’s resolution.Justice N Kumar who heard the case, upheld BBMP’s decision and gave nod to cut unauthorised cables.The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike will now continue its drive to remove unauthorised cables across the city.The Palike is expecting a large revenue of `750 crore from these service providers.
