BANGALORE: In what could mean relief to former chief minister N Dharam Singh, the Karnataka High Court on Monday order a four-week stay on Lokayukta proceedings and investigation against him in connection with a private complaint accusing him of facilitating illegal mining during his tenure as state chief minister.Counsel for the petitioner Nanjunda Reddy said: “When the Lokayukta submitted it’s report on illegal mining, Governer H R Bharadwaj said that no action can be taken against Singh due to lack of evidence.”Hearing the petition, Justice B V Pinto order the stay on the investigation against Singh, and asked the complainant, T J Abraham, to file objection.
