BANGALORE: The New Year celebrations are in full swing as Bangaloreans get ready for the coming year, 2012. While the hotels and pubs are flashing an impressive list of Djs and performers to enthral the crowd, residents welfare associations are not far behind in their plans in biding farewell to 2011RISE (Residents Initiative for Safe Environment) at HAL 3rd Stage is throwing a bash dedicated to the young Bangaloreans. While Mahadev, the man in charge of the association was unavailable for comments,  his wife said, “Celebrating with children is probably one of the best way to celebrate on new year’s eve.” Kormangala Club, is hosting a New Year Eve’s party on December 31 for its members and their guest starting from 7 pm. Another association called Ranka Colony Residents Association at Bannerghatta Road, Bilekahalli had planned a pre-new year celebration on December 30, however, the rain washed their plans down the drain. Bhaskar R, a member of the association said, “The party is kept on hold because of the rain.” Keeping the old traditions alive, Mahalakshimpura Residents Forum in  Mahalakshmi Layout is organising an Orchestra party on December 31. While a few associations have revealed their best laid plans for the coming year, there are a few who are not keen on throwing a bash or a party to christen the new year. Little World Trust in RT Nagar, Civic amenities and cultural association in HAL 2nd Stage, Jayamahal Citizens Forum in Frazer Town, Ideal Homes Residents Association in Raja Rajeshwarinagar, LIC Colony Residents Welfare Association in Jeevanbhimanagar are a few such associations that do not believe on making  elaborate plans.
