I'd imagined Ranbir Kapoor to be someone who sticks by his professional commitments. Turns out that our man has actually backed out of a word he'd given the IIFA organisers!
A little birdie tells me that Ranbir had initially agreed to perform at the awards ceremony. But now he is not so keen anymore. This sudden change of mind is being credited to his new look for Shimit Amin's next Rocket Singh.
Ranbir is supposedly quite keen that his experiment with the look should not be made public. And I guess the fact that the film is with Yash Raj makes things even more complicated.
Incidentally if Ranbir had actually ended up performing, it would have been the first time he'd dance at an award ceremony.
What a pity… seems like it will be a while before I see Ranbir groove to Bachna Ae Haseeno.
