It's the story of two young strangers thrown in a arranged marriage.

Whether it's commitment phobia in Pyar Ke Side Effects or the outcome of two young strangers thrown in a arranged marriage in Just Married, PNC's films have pleased the critics with the content without being too heavy.

Directed by Meghna Gulzar and starring Esha Deol and Fardeen Khan, Just Married struck the right chords with Indian critics and has managed to do that with international critics as well.

"We are extremely proud to receive this bit of news," says Chairman PNC, Pritish Nandy, "for it reaffirms our commitment to the new kind of cinema that is changing Bollywood and making it a global force to reckon with."

Just Married has been chosen for the 2009 Salento International Film Festival (SIFF) that has been taking place in Salento (Puglia, Italy) for the last five years. SIFF presents only high quality international features, short films and documentaries, and dedicates the opening to a Special Guest Country by screening a relevant film production from the selected country. And this time it is India.

SIFF will run for 10 days in September (from September 4-13, 2009). A dinner party dedicated to Indian cuisine and some original form of entertainment from India is also part of the celebration.

Meghna Gulzar says, "It was a warm and pleasant surprise that Just Married struck a note two years after its release, somewhere out there in the world. I was always grateful to Rangita Nandy and Pritish Nandy for having faith in me as a filmmaker. That gratitude is now renewed…along with the faith that good things happen only when they are supposed to."

The Festival has become a prestigious event owing to its artistic value and the beautiful location in southern Italy. One of the main goals of the Salento Film Festival is to promote and support the world of cinema, bringing together national and international productions, to exchange and compare views through one of the most powerful communication channels, with the ability to create a bond among cultures and people.
