New Delhi: Sambit Nanda, son of an employee at Aircel, has been missing since June 9, 3 pm. Sambit was last seen at Wanderlust Camp, Shivpuri (Rishikesh).

Aircel’s fan page on Facebook has shared the picture of the child. The official page urges, "Friends, our Aircel colleague's son has gone missing from Rishikesh. We need all your help and good wishes to find him. Please share this message/pic with all your friends and family. We appreciate your help."

Another child goes missing; will social network be of help this time?

Earlier this year in April, Karnit Shah, a six-year-old boy, had gone missing from Mumbai. He was traced to Handia in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad district. Four people were arrested for abducting him.

Social media had played a significant role in spreading the word about Karnit. Karnit's photograph was uploaded on Facebook on April 9 and since then online communities picked up the message and spread the word around.

It remains to be seen if the social networking site Facebook will help Sambit's family to trace him. The link is already being shared massively for spreading the message.

What's your reaction?
