Three unidentified persons entered a Moghalpura Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) corporator's house posing as doctors and decamped with gold ornaments worth `2 lakh after injecting sedative drug to the corporator's grandmother here on Wednesday.
Fatima is suffering from an ailment, due to which hospital staff visits her for treatment everyday.
At around 11.30 am, the three persons entered the house located at Clock tower in Moghalpura.
They went into Fatima's room on the second floor and injected a sedative drug, after which Fatima fell on the bed unconscious. The female imposter called Salem saying that Fatima was unconscious.
When Salem entered the room, two thieves beat her up and locked the doors," inspector P Vijay Kumar said.
