New Delhi: Continuing its old habit of rolling out changes to users' profiles, the social networking giant has announced improvements to the photos section that appears at the top of the timeline. This is seen as one of the major visual overhauls by Facebook.
"Today we're announcing improvements to the photos section that make viewing photos more enjoyable," said Emily Grewal, product manager, Facebook, in a post in the Facebook Newsroom.
On clicking photos at the top of the timeline, users will see larger pictures that fill up the page. They will find a grid of images, which are variable in both size and shape, with squares dominating the space.
Users can use the menu to find shots they are tagged in, pictures they have shared and albums they have created.
Users can click the star button to make important photos stand out. Facebook will begin rolling out this new feature to all users gradually.
