Expedite probe in murder case, CBI told

CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has directed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to speed up investigation into the murder of Sathish Kumar (24), son of advocate R Sankara Subbu. A division bench comprising Justice C Nagappan and Justice PR Shivakumar gave the direction following the submissions of TN Advocates Association president S Prabakaran, on Monday.  When the matter came up today, Prabakaran alleged that probe by the CBI in the murder case was not on the lines of expectation. Even the suspects were not taken for custodial interrogation, he added. The bench directed the CBI to take all steps, including custodial interrogation of the suspects, and come up with the results. It posted the matter for further hearing on October 11.
