An encounter broke out on Tuesday between terrorists and security forces in Pulwama district of south Kashmir. After initial gun shots were heard, the whole area was cordoned off by the security forces.

Earlier in March, three Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter in Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district, an army official had said.
The official said in the ensuing gun fight three local terrorists of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed.
