Doors close at Hasanamba Temple for thisyYear

HASSAN: Goddess Hasanamba temple that was open for nine days was closed after a traditional pooja on Friday.Over five lakh devotees across the state visited the temple this year. Sureshwar, the main priest offered a special pooja for half-an-hour and shut the doors with the presence of district and revenue officials.The district authority was planning to open the temple for 15 days from 2012 and also come up with new strategies to ensure that the devotees get to visit the temple without interruption. The Muzrai committee and the voluntary organisations organised prasadam for the devotees. The temple was closed by 2 pm due to large crowds.
