BHUBANESWAR: The DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, has added yet another feather in its cap by being adjudged the number one school in the State and second in the Eastern Zone in a nation-wide survey.The survey was carried out by Education World, a monthly human development magazine, through C-Fore, one of the most reputed survey agencies.The survey was conducted on 14 parameters including academic excellence, teachers’ welfare and development, competence of faculty, academic reputation, co-curricular activities, sports education, individual attention to each and every student and value for money.Around 400 reputed primary and secondary schools were surveyed and opinions of independent educationists, principals, teachers and parents were taken into consideration.The 14 parameters carried 1,400 marks and DAV, Chandrasekharpur, scored 1,199.Education World is steered by leading corporate honchos and educationists like N R Narayan Murthy of Infosys, Adi Godrej, Ramdas Pai and N R Ramaswamy.DPS Kalinga was ranked 17 and KIIT International School 20 in the Eastern Zone.
