With promises of living spaces in ‘most sought-after locations in the city’ which are ‘aesthetically designed’ and ‘flexible according to your requirements’, 23 builders have come together to show-case their projects at the three-day expo organised by the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI).
The expo, being held at P Subramaniam Hall at Vazhuthacaud, has stalls set up by leading builders such as SFS Homes, Heera Constructions, Cordial Constructions, PTC Group etc. - all CREDAI members - where prospective buyers can get information regarding the builder’s on-going and up-coming projects in and around the city.
Two-room or three-room apartments are available in city areas such as Nanthancode, Sasthamangalam, Technopark and Ulloor with prices ranging between Rs 26 lakh to over one crore depending on the land price of the area and the plinth area of the apartment.
Landscaped gardens, easy accessibility and living comfort seem to be the order of the day, according to the representatives of various builders.
“We will provide basic, standard amenities in each of our apartment and later, will help the buyer upgrade the flat according to his needs - say, built-in wardrobes or wooden-panelled floors,” said Sindu H, interior designer with SI Property.
Apart from flats, villa projects are also on display. Some, like Future Group, offer plots where villas can be custom made.
Not just builders but others like furniture makers, makers of bathroom fittings, providers of materials like concrete and glass for windows and doors have also put up their stalls. Banks such as the SBI and Axis Bank have also stalls where information regarding housing loans may be obtained.
With waste management being a major concern, CREDAI has also devoted a stall to its Kochi unit’s CREDAI Clean City Movement where ‘biobins’ and ‘biopots’ have been on display.
“These bins have already been established in 87 of our projects in Thiruvananthapuram with the number of orders being 203,” said Archana L of CREDAI.
“They are set up on the roofs of the apartments and are used to process kitchen waste using biofertilisers.”
Seminars on topics such as ‘Investment in a Home’, ‘Modern Trends in Housing’ and ‘Urban Planning’ have also been organised as part of the expo.
