Coffee shop employee attacked

BANGALORE: Five unidentified miscreants stabbed a cashier of city-based coffee outlet on Kengeri Satellite Town 80 Ft Road and escaped with a cash Rs 10,000, a gold chain worth about Rs 25,000 and three mobile phones.Abhilash (23), cashier at the Cafe Coffee Day, sustained stab injury, and has been admitted to a private hospital.According to the police, a gang of five members came to the outlet in the guises of customers on Sunday night. They had consumed eateries for Rs 370 and the bill was given to them. After this, one of them went inside the toilet and came out complaining that there was no water supply. As it was already closing time, there were only three staffers including the cashier.Two of them went inside toilet to attend his complaint.But, as they entered the miscreants made them remove their clothes so that they could not come out. “Later, the five stabbed Abhilash in his chest and took away the cash from cash box, his gold chain and three mobile phones.The two staffers informed the police and shifted Abhilash to hospital,” police said.Police suspect the miscreants had planned the robbery and had watched the movements of the staff before entering the place.
