The collapse occurred due to IT related issues affecting baggage and check-in counters.
New Delhi: New Delhi airport's showcase Terminal 3 came to a grinding halt for over two hours on Friday evening after a systems crash. The systems collapse hit check-in counters forcing a manual check of thousands of passengers.
The collapse occurred due to IT related issues between 4:25 pm and 5:30 pm affecting baggage and check-in counters.
All systems at the terminal failed due to network issue and passengers had be checked manually. Even for the checking of baggage manual procedure had to be adopted.
Even though the error has been rectified but it will still take time for the backlog to clear.
