Pathankot: A car snatched by 3 unknown men from Pathankot on Tuesday has been recovered in Gurdaspur district. A Ford fiesta car was snatched away by 3 unknown men at gunpoint on Wednesday near Sujanpur.
It was recovered from Pasyal village in Gurdaspur district. The man, whose car was stolen, had claimed that the three men came to him asking for petrol, following which they threatened him on gunpoint.
Security was beefed up after the incident and search operations were underway to nab the miscreants.
Notably, terrorists who launched attacks on Pathankot Air base in January allegedly hijacked a Punjab police officer's car to get to the air base.
Six Pakistani terrorists, suspected to be belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammad, had attacked the airbase on January 2 in which seven security personnel were killed. In the gun-battle, all the six terrorists were also killed.
