Cannes: Its India trail may have have been dotted with protests, but The Da Vinci Code continued to remain the most talked about flick at the Cannes Film Festival.
The cast and crew of the film that left Waterloo on a Euro train on Tuesday reached the city of Cannes on Wednesday amidst much fanfare.
At the press conference, despite bad reviews, the flick was an obvious talking point.
"Oh there is no doubt about that it is controversial to a degree. But again it’s to a degree that even in the character of Robert Langdon context is all," actor Tom Hanks said.
"And Mr Langdon and the movie itself, will the critics I think, will understand that to some people that is a huge statement to make," he added.
"My advice is, since virtually no one has seen the movie yet is to not go see the movie, if you think you are going to be upset," director Ron Howard said.
"Wait! Talk to somebody who has seen it, discuss it and then arrive to an opinion about the movie itself," he added.
Not too far away from the main action, fans of Indian films got an opportunity to meet Bollywood actress Preity Zinta at the Indian Pavillion.
Also adding glamour to the festival were the L'Oreal girls Andie Macdowell and Kerry Washington. Aishwarya Rai was supposed to grace the event also but it seems she was could not make it to the event.
