KOLAR: Conceding that the Bellary byelection is the result of the BJP’s mistake, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said that the outcome of the election will not impact the state government. Addressing the media here on Tuesday, the CM, who was on his way to Bangalore from Tirupati, exuded confidence over the party’s prospects in the bypoll.“The BJP government made a mistake in handing over the administration of Bellary to Sriramulu and the Reddy brothers,” he said. Gowda explained that the government has released `815 crore for road repair works across the state which is expected to be completed by December this year. On the agri-convention to be held in Bangalore on December 1 and 2, the CM said that decisions will be taken in support of the farmer community. “More funds will be released to all zilla and taluk panchayats of the state,” he promised.Gowda also promised to release additional funds to tackle the drought in the state, while adding that the demand for digging borewells is not advisable. The CM also assured that he will take stock of the water crisis in the district.
