New Delhi: Ever wondered what it will be like if you are given a chance to do away with making efforts to chew your paan and instead enjoy its ingredients in a smooth drink? In one word, it's heavenly.
The liquid paan is named 'paan shot' at the restaurant Punjab Grill by Jiggs Kalra in the Select City Walk mall in New Delhi's Saket.
'Paan shot' there is a non alcoholic meshed paan with some syrup. It is served in tequila shot glasses and is supposed to be finished in one go. The taste is just perfect as the drink is neither too sweet nor that minty.
During the Restaurant week, this is one restaurant one would want to hop in to again and would recommend it for those who want to relish the North Indian daal makhani, shahi paneer, butter chicken, naans/paranthas and biryani.
The place has two spaces, one inside the mall and the other on the terrace and offers great food accompanied with soulful soft music that one can sit back and enjoy.
But the meal becomes special when at the end of it all, they serve you your highlight of the meal, the paan shot. Yes, the paan shot is served in place of the 'mishri and saunf' that we see at restaurants after paying the bill.
