Body to be kept at Town Hall Monday

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A special cabinet meeting was held here late Sunday night in view of the death of Food and Civil Supplies Minister T M Jacob.Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, briefing the media of the decisions, said Jacob’s mortal remains will be taken from Lakeshore Hospital by 9 a.m. on Monday to the Ernakulam Town Hall for the public to pay homage.The mortal remains will be kept there from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Later, the body will be taken to St Joseph’s High School, Piravom, for the public to pay their last respects.At 5 p.m., the body will be taken to Jacob’s family home at Vaniyapadom.The funeral is planned to be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the St Mary’s Jacobite Church, Kakkoor, the Chief Minister said. ‘’All the decisions were taken in consultation with Jacob’s family,’’ Chandy said.
