Quetta: The Balochistan Liberation United Front, which came into limelight after abducting UNHCR official John Solecki, has set another deadline of 48 hours for the acceptance of its demands in exchange for Solecki.
We give another deadline of 48 hours to United Nations, warning it to take immediate steps for the release of 1,109 missing persons, The Nation quoted BLUF spokesman Mir Shahiq Baloch, as saying. During his phone-call to a local news agency, Baloch warned that Solecki is suffering from cardiac disease and that the UN would be responsible if anything goes wrong with him.
Condition of John Solecki is deteriorating. He is being provided medicines, but there is no improvement in his condition, Baloch said. The terrorist group spokesman said the BLUF had issued a list of missing persons, but added that the UN has not taken serious steps to ensure their recovery.
We had expressed our confidence in Nawabzada Harbiyar Marri as a mediator, but UN authorities are not showing seriousness in this regard, Baloch said. BLUF expressed it full confidence in Baloch Leaders Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri and Nawabzada Harbiyar Marri, and said the UN should take them into confidence for the safe release of John Solecki.
Baloch confirmed that Solecki is becoming weak with each passing day. Earlier, the BLUF had indefinitely extended the deadline for the Pakistan Government to accept their demands in exchange for Soleckis release.
