Biotech India, in association with Felrick Australia, will implement power generation projects from landfill waste in the country.
A statement from Biotech here said the company has entered into an agreement with the Australian company in this regard. Felrick Australia will provide the technology to convert electricity from compressed landfill and CNG projects.
‘’The technology will help to capture and convert the landfill gas to non-toxic clean energy source and reduce the waste by 80 per cent,’’ the statement said.
Felrick Australia has successfully completed 14 landfill projects in Australia and the US using the technology.
Biotech director A Sajidas said that the technology would help in resolving the problems at Vilappilsala, Njeliyanparamba, Brahmapuram and other garbage treatment locations in the state. ‘’We will write to the Corporations and municipalities on the service we could offer to them,’’ he said.
