Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan was reveling in his iconic status as he flew in from the Big Apple to promote the clothing brand Reid and Taylor.
Bachchan is in Mumbai on a two-day break from Karan Johar's sets in New York where he was shooting with Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta and son Abhishek for the film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
After a grand entry, Big B said "I like wearing suits and this collection is very elegant".
It's been a great year for Bachchan, who began the year with a stunning performance in Black and went onto prove that even at 63, despite chasing Bunty Aur Babli, he is the Sarkar of Bollywood. And then of course his new role as the king of the advertising world.
"This is part of our routine, actors have been endorsing things for a long time. I hope this trend continues," Bachchan said.
On this quick stop in Mumbai, the Big B will also promote his next release, Ek Ajnabee. The film makes the Bollywood debut of hotelier Vikram Chhatwal and is inspired by the Denzel Washinton starrer, Man on Fire.
