New Delhi: Even as the concerned authorities flip flop over their verdict on the Bob Woolmer case, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has announced a film inspired by the death of the former Pakistani cricket coach.
The film’s storyline includes a foreign coach who gets murdered by the betting mafia.
While Bhatt confirms that Woolmer is the inspiration for the foreign coach's character, the film itself is not about Woolmer.
"It will not be a film on Bob Woolmer himself but his death will definitely be an inspiration to the film," said Bhatt.
The film will focus on a love story it will have cricket as betting as its background.
Research teams will be deputed to South Africa and Jamaica and Bhatt will be consulting his cricketing friends Mohinder Amarnath and Zahir Abbas before shooting for the film. The film will be starring Emran Hashmi.
