New Delhi: New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday clarified that the Justice HS Bedi Commission, which is probing fake encounters cases in Gujarat, can appoint non-Gujarat cadre police officers to probe the killings.
The commission is probing cases of 22 alleged fake encounters between 2003 and 2007 in the state.
The Supreme Court had in 2012 appointed former Supreme Court judge Justice HS Bedi to probe the case of fake encounter killings after two PILs were filed alleging discrimination against minorities.
