Bangalore: Registering a complaint about civic problems has become more easier now. Citizens can register their complaints online through Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force’ (BMTF) website. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, BMTF Inspector General of Police R P Sharma said, “This is a first of its kind measure. One can log in to our website and register their complaints. The problems may not be related to the BBMP. Any complaints, related to Bangalore city, can be lodged. If the complaints do not come under our purview, we will forward them to the authorities concerned for further action,” he said.
The online registration website is expected to function full-fledged from next week.Explaining further, Sharma said, “Once the complaint is lodged, the citizens will get a mail from us. We will try to dispose of the complaints within seven days from the date of registering the complaint,” he added.
However, he admitted that they are facing the problem of inadequate staff. Sharma said that BMTF has 76 sanctioned posts, of which 30 per cent are vacant. “We are expecting that those vacancies will be filled soon,” he said.
