BANGALORE: The road connecting the Chord Road Junction and Gali Anjaneya Temple will be made one-way, probably in the next two months. Mayor D Venkatesh Murthy on Monday said, “The move will possibly provide partial solution to the ever-increasing traffic on Mysore Road.” Accordingly, vehicles coming from Mysore side have to take a left turn on the West of Chord Road and proceed on the bridge at Deepanjalinagar and then join Mysore Road near Gali Anjaneya temple before reaching the Satellite Bus Station. This, however, it will be implemented after two months when the bridge work is over, he added.Meanwhile, people still have to cope up the traffic chaos till December as the road widening works on Mysore Road from Sirsi Circle flyover are expected to be delayed further by at least another seven months.Mayor, along with his deputy L Srinivas, ruling party leader N Nagaraj and other officials, went on an inspection in and around Mysore Road, Nayandahalli Junction and surrounding areas on Monday.Speaking to reporters, Murthy said desiltation  work of the drain next to Gali Anjaneya Temple is on. “I have also instructed officials to complete the Deepanjalinagar bridge work soon and they have assured to complete it in another two months. As this particular project work is causing traffic jams, by making one-way, it will bring some relief to the problems,” he said.
