KARWAR: State BJP president K S Eshwarappa criticised Congress leaders for staging a black flag demonstration during senior BJP leader L K Advani’s visit to Bangalore on Sunday as part of his Jan Chetana Yatra.Addressing a mammoth rally organised to coincide with Advani’s visit to Kumta on Tuesday, he pointed out that the yatra was aimed at creating awareness among people against corruption. Opposing such a yatra would amount to supporting corruption, he interpreted.Eshwarappa said that B S Yedyurappa resigned as chief minister when he was indicted by the Lokayukta in its report. “However, Delhi CM Sheila Dixit refused to resign when the CVC report mentioned her in connection with the Commonwealth Games scam. Does it not mean that Congress leaders are for perpetuation of corrupt practices?” he asked. He said that the Yatra launched by Advani had given new strength and inspiration to party workers to fight corruption and make the party stronger. Advani, who has an unblemished political career, is a source of inspiration to all, Eshwarappa averred.
