HYDERABAD: The TDP stalled the proceedings of the state Assembly on the second consecutive day on Tuesday demanding a thorough discussion on the notices to six ministers and eight IAS officers issued by the Supreme Court in the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. The House was adjourned for the day amid pandemonium after the TDP did not allow the House to run.The TDP, CPI and the CPM moved adjournment motions separately on the tainted ministers' issue and demanded a discussion in the Assembly besides their dismissal from the Cabinet, but Speaker N Manohar disallowed the adjournment motions. But the opposition members refused to budge from their demand and pressed for the dismissal of the ministers. Legislative affairs minister D Sridhar Babu tried to pacify the protesting MLAs saying that the ministers have not received the notice and the contents of the notice were not yet known. ''The government will respond only after going through the contents of the notice,'' he said. “Nobody will be left in the House if one were to resign based on allegations. It is not proper for the opposition members to demand resignation or dismissal of the ministers,'' he said. But the TDP MLAs did not relent forcing the Speaker had to adjourn the session for 15 minutes early in the day.The TDP members rushed to the podium after the House reassembled by holding placards and raising slogans and remained firm on their demand.Later the Speaker held a meeting with the floor leaders in the Assembly where the opposition party leaders demanded that the files of the controversial 26 GOs be tabled before the speaker.
