An army personnel and his associate were killed when their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified vehicle on Seoni-Nagpur bypass road, police said on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Sanjay Tekam (29), a Lance Naik posted in Jammu and Kashmir, and his friend Narsingh Karveti (22), they said.
Tekam has taken leave to attend marriage of his sister-in-law at Lakhanwada here, they said.
The incident occurred yesterday when Tekam and his friend were going for some work on their motorcycle, police said.
The duo were rushed to district hospital after the accident. Tekam, who was critically injured, succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to Nagpur.
A case was registered in this regard and postmortem conducted.
