Archaeology team in Hampi on inspection visit

BELLARY: A special team of Central Archeological Department (CAD) from Delhi visited Hampi on Saturday to undertake a study to safeguard ancient monuments in the region which are exposed to harsh environment.There have been instances of damage to such monuments.Following this, the team led by deputy superintendent of CAD T M Keshav inspected the Varaha Temple, which had collapsed recently.The team also visited Kudure Gomb Mantap and other monuments which are listed among endangered monuments. S Kempegowda, local official of Archaeology Department, was also present.
