Andhra: 3 men kidnap, kill 6-year-old girl in Mahabubnagar
During investigation, an auto driver who was picked up the police in connection with the girl's abduction led them to the spot where her body was dumped.

Hyderabad: A six-year-old girl who was kidnapped for ransom was found murdered on Thursday night on the outskirts of Mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh, the police said.

The girl was abducted in an autorickshaw by three miscreants from near her house in Mahabubnagar Town on Wednesday, after which a ranson call was made demanding Rs 10 lakh, the police said.

Her abductors, including one Yakub, who had worked with the girl's father, allegedly tied her mouth with a cloth and planned to take her to the outskirts of Mahbubnagar. After the girl died in the process, they stuffed her body in a gunnybag and dumped it near a village, and made the ransom call.

The girl's father lodged a complaint with the police after he received the ransom call.

During investigation, an auto driver who was picked up the police in connection with the girl's abduction led them to the spot where her body was dumped. Efforts are on to nab Yakub and his accomplices, police sources said.
