Akhilesh Yadav suspends Mirzapur Forest Range officer over 'illegal mining' allegations

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav suspended forest range officer of Mirzapur DN Singh with immediate effect and ordered a disciplinary action against him.

Mirzapur District Magistrate had recommended action against Singh following illegal mining and transportation in Mirzapur forest area, an official spokesman said.

Following recommendations of the DM of Mirzapur, Yadav took action against Singh, the spokesman said.
