AIADMK going all out to block USE: MK

CHENNAI: The AIADMK government is doing everything it can to scuttle the Universal School Education (USE) scheme, DMK chief M Karunanidhi has alleged. He also noted that the AIADMK‘s allies such as the CPI (M), CPI and AISMK had spoken out against postponing its implementation.“Those who have now come to power are doing everything to block the implementation of Samcheer Kalvi. The Madras HC and SC know it, and this is reflected in their orders and observations,” he said in a press release. He appealed to the Madras HC to take this into cognisance before making its judgement on the matter. He reiterated his allegation that the AIADMK had subverted the expert panel by appointing only those opposed to the scheme. This comes just a day after the panel, headed by Chief Secretary Debendranath Sarangi, tabled its report before the HC.
