WARANGAL: Three-year-old Harsha Vardhan who went missing three days ago was found dead at Yakutpura on the outskirts of the city on Saturday morning. His parents, G Jagan and Sunitha, residents of Abbonikunta, lodged a complaint at the Mills police station alleging that a mason, Narasimha, had kidnapped their child on June 16. Jagan works at a wine shop in Warangal.Narasimha who belongs to Nellore district did some construction work at Bablu's house. During this time, Narasimha became close to Bablu's family members.Jagan said Narasimha came to his shop on June 16 and consumed alcohol. After he left, Jagan realized that his son was missing. He said the mason always spoke of taking the boy to his town."Narasimha might have forced the boy to go along with him and Bablu might have started crying mid-way. To get rid of the boy, he might have strangled him to death," Mills police station C.I, Shobhan Kumar said. When the police identified Bablu's body, they found his T-shirt tied around his neck, suspecting the kid might have been strangled.Meanwhile, Bablu's uncle suspects that Narasimha might have sacrificed the boy as a part of ritual to appease gods for a newly constructed house.“Narasimha always spoke about such rituals,” he added. Police are investigating the case and are looking for Narasimha who is absconding.
