Understanding of god God, is someone who stays with us, in us, and makes us do each and everything we do. I’ve always been a person who believes in monotheism.There is one supreme power, for which we’ve given various forms.Music vs god Music is divine. I find god in music. All elders fondly mention that the blessed singer’s vocal chords are blessed to give mellifluous music. Being a musician, I have always thought I have been blessed by god himself for having got this wonderful talent, and the opportunities to entertain others. I have heard a lot of people, including those great masters in the music industry, tell that a musician is closer to god when compared with others.I think that’s very true.Many a times, the music rendered transcends the composition. As much as the listener transcends into a different plain of listening experience so does the singer while rendering his performance.This state of enjoyment to the singer and to the listener, is the state of godliness.Spiritual experience My relationship with god, is a little different. I have always seen god as my best friend, who knows me in and out. Born as a Hindu, I have only been to Hindu temples. One of my favourite temples is the Kollur Mookambika temple, where I go whenever I find time, and sure, the goddess gives me a lot of strength and peace in life. Two great moments of my life — one is the moment when I won Super Singer 2008 and the next one is the day I sang my debut song for Yuvan Shankar Raja. I don’t pray to god like how lot others do, asking this and that in life. As I told earlier, he is the supreme power and he knows what we deserve and what we don’t.
