440 offered jobs in placement drive

BHUBANESWAR: The placement season has started with around 19 management colleges in the city participating in the first phase of the placement drive taking place at the Asian School of Business Management (ASBM).  The placements, started on December 1, will continue till January 31. More than 650 students have participated in the placement drive till now and 440 have been offered jobs.    Major companies which are participating in the drive include Vodafone, Asian Paints, SBI Life and UCO Bank, Nestle and HDFC. HDFC has recruited from 17 MBA colleges and Nestle from two colleges. More than 80 companies are expected to participate in it.   The highest package offered so far is ` 3,60,000 by Nestle. The students who have received the highest package till now are Manas Kundu, Divya Sanam, Indrajit Buragohian, Jagannath Mohapatra and Rajesh Kumar of ASBM college.    The placement will be carried out in phases.
