22-year-old abducts, rapes 13-year-old girl in a religious area

A 13-year-old girl has allegedly been abducted and raped by a youth in a religious area in the district, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place when the victim had gone to shop at the religious place Shukertal on Saturday, police said.

The girl after regaining her consciouness, found herself in a house and in her complaint said, 22-year-old Ankur raped her there after forcibly taking her away with him last evening.

The accused is absconding while the victim has been sent for medical examination, police said.
