2 killed, one hurt in wall collapse

TIRUVARUR: Two construction workers died and another suffered injuries when a building wall collapsed on them on Friday.The dead were identified as Chelladurai (63) and Amudha (35), wife of Panneer of Vadakku Street at Thennavaroyanallur.According to the Taluk Police, Chelladurai and Amudha were among the workers engaged for construction activities at the house of Kannappan at N K S Complex at Pillayar Koil Street in Pulivalam. When they were at work on the ground floor, the wall of the first floor collapsed on them. Both were killed on the spot. Sekar(36), son of Pattani and a Sathangudi Mangudi resident, suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Further inquiry is on.
