Filmmaker Pradeep Maddali, marking his debut on OTT, ventured into the world of digital content with the spiritual drama series Sarvam Shakthi Mayam. The show, comprising ten episodes, was created by BVS Ravi and released in Hindi on the Zee5 platform. Sarvam Shakthi Mayam delves into the sacred realms of Shakti Peethas and Hinduism, and its release during the auspicious occasion of Dussehra has garnered significant attention. Director Pradeep Maddali recently shared his insights and experiences in an interview, shedding light on his journey.
When questioned about his background, Pradeep revealed that he had pursued a career in engineering before spending five years as a team leader in an IT company. His foray into the world of cinema brought him in contact with renowned directors such as Ram Gopal Varma and Puri Jagannadh. During his tenure with Puri, spanning five years, he honed his skills and eventually transitioned into directing, debuting with 47 Days.
Taking on a project of such grand spiritual significance as a newcomer, Pradeep acknowledged the immense responsibility that came with it. He expressed his admiration for BVS Ravi, the creator and writer of Sarvam Shakthi Mayam, and recounted how the idea resonated with him. The opportunity to work on the project, Pradeep believed, was a significant one, and he readily accepted the challenge.
Pradeep also reflected on the valuable lessons he learnt from Puri Jagannadh. He commended Puri Jagannadh’s professionalism and kind gesture, noting that he treated everyone, from the lead actor to the light boy, with equal respect, both in times of success and adversity.
Regarding the choice of Hindi-speaking actors for the series, Pradeep explained that they aimed to make Sarvam Shakthi Mayam a pan-India project, intending to reach audiences across the country. Hence, the casting efforts extended into Bollywood, enabling the series to embrace a wider demographic.
