Saturday Night Live or SNL is a popular American late-night live television show where celebrities from various entertainment fields come together to perform short and hilarious skits.. First aired on October 11, 1975, SNL has been running successfully for decades. Now, the most-watched show has returned to the small screens with its 49th season, telecasted on October 14 this year. The new member who has been selected as the host for the latest season is Perto Rican singer and rapper Bad Bunny. On October 21, when Bad Bunny took the stage as the first-time host of the SNL event, he was accompanied by an unexpected guest — Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal.

Pedro Pascal made his debut on SNL this year in February. In a way, he acted as a mock translator to Bad Bunny, who gave a monologue in the Spanish language. The rapper’s skit was titled “Speaking in Non-English”. Admitting that English was not his first language, Bad Bunny addressed the audience as he said, “Well, people, the truth is that this morning, I woke up at the hotel incredibly tired. I just released an album. I’ve been rehearsing all week. I almost didn’t arrive” as reported by E News.

During his interaction with the crowd, Bad Bunny expressed his gratitude towards the creator and executive producer of SNL Lorne Michaels, claiming that the chief and other members on the set made him feel welcome. In a fun translation of what he said, Pedro Pascal chimed in stating that Bad Bunny meant, he was “blessed” to share the same stage with his “favourite actor” Pascal.

X (formerly known as Twitter) users were enthralled to see the interesting pairing of Bad Bunnuy and Pedro Pascal on the same stage. Reacting to the same, one individual wrote, “Pedro Pascal just joined Bad Bunny on the SNL stage to help translate his monologue, and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a sexier pairing tbh.” Highlighting one special moment from the SNL show, another quipped, “Bad Bunny really wants to make a ‘Shrek’ sequel in ‘SNL’ sketch”. “Bad Bunny delivered on SNL tonight. This episode flew by, that’s how good it was,” shared another impressed user.

Apart from Pedro Pascal, A-list guests who attended the gig were English singer-songwriter Mick Jagger and American singer-songwriter Lady Gaga. Although Bad Bunny’s rumoured partner Kendall Jenner skipped his gig, the internet personality made an appearance at SNL’s after-party.
