This interview came about when the Friends cast came out with the reunion episode. In the clip, Matthew could be seen waiving and placing his finger to his lips in an attempt to keep the set quiet, while David was speaking to the interviewer. He is unaware that he is on camera and continues to do that. Matt later quietly told him, “You’re on camera.” Matthew eventually realised and asked the reporter, “Are you in a three-shot seeing me do that?” He added laughing, that he “looked like a crazy person.” David Schwimmer later jokes that he would make similar gestures while Matthew is talking.
