Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire Gives A Glimpse Of The Epic Showdown

The latest installment of the Godzilla franchise, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire, has created a lot of anticipation since the last time viewers saw the two titans going at each other in Godzilla vs Kong. As the two titans now gear up to join forces to take out a new threat, a couple of exciting clips have surfaced on the internet, giving a glimpse into the epic crossover between Kong and Godzilla. The clips include an epic confrontation featuring the ruler of Skull Island and Godzilla, followed by another clip showing Kong with his new mechanical fist.

As the first clip suggests, Kong can be seen trying to communicate with Godzilla to alert him about something, only to get thrashed at the end.

The second clip shows Kong putting on his “power glove” for the first time and realising the strength of his newly-acquired weapon.

While fans will have to wait for a few more days to see more of the Kaiju crossover, Legendary breaks down The New Empire and describes it as a follow-up to the “explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure, pitting the mighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own.”

It further mentions that the film will delve deeper into the histories of these titans, their origins, and the unknown mysteries that have tied them to humankind.

More about Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire

Besides the leading heroes of the Monsterverse cinematic universe, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire will feature a brand new villain called the Skar King along with another yet-to-be revealed villain.

The promos show the titanous orangutan Skar King, who seems to be Kong’s primary enemy. The trailer shows him as the leader of an army of apes inside the Hollow Earth. While the previous Kong films revealed that Kong was the last of his kind, The New Empire suggests otherwise. Besides him, the film is also expected to feature Titan Shimo, a villain pitched against Godzilla.

Apart from that, the film is also expected to bring a few more titans to the epic battleground. The film will hit theatres on March 29.
