Cardiff, Wales: Sunderland scored two late goals to draw 2-2 at Cardiff in the English Premier League on Saturday, adding to the Welsh side's woes a day after its firing of manager Malky Mackay.
Jack Colback earned a point for the league's bottom club with a deflected strike in the fifth minute of injury time, with Steven Fletcher having halved Sunderland's deficit in the 83rd minute.
Cardiff are in a state of flux after Malaysian owner Vincent Tan fired Mackay following a protracted dispute, but its players put the club's off-field troubles to one side by going 2-0 ahead after 58 minutes through goals by Jordon Mutch and Fraizer Campbell.
There were several pro-Mackay chants and banners in evidence throughout a game that Tan attended. Sunderland stayed a point behind next-to-last West Ham.
