Platini has long been thought to be likely successor to Blatter, but the current president could seek to stay on as well.
Paris: UEFA President Michel Platini says he could announce next month whether he'll run to replace Sepp Blatter as president of FIFA.
Platini says he'll "certainly say something in Dubrovnik," the Croatian city where UEFA will hold its next executive committee meeting on September 19-20.
In an interview in Wednesday's L'Equipe, Platini says he's "reflecting" on whether to run in 2015, and says his decision hinges on whether it would be good for the sport.
Platini says "I won three Ballons d'Or. I was the greatest player in the world. I have to convince myself that it's my destiny, that it's good for football."
