Port Elizabeth: Germany coach Joachim Loew has talked up his side's third-place finish after they beat Uruguay 3-2 in Port Elizabeth, hinting he still needs some time to decide over his future.
Loew was keen to praise his side's reaction when all seemed lost after Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan turned the game on its head.
"We do not go away empty-handed. The team has finished third and they earned a good result following a great second half display," he told the press as reported by Kicker.de.
"When you look at the whole tournament and they way the team struggled then we know this a satisfying result.
"We are all proud in this sense. The team put in the efforts and hopefully it continues to develop."
Loew was probed on whether he will accept a reported offer to stay on as coach and help Germany qualify for Euro 2012.
"I don't make the decisions at the top. I need a few days of peace and distanced myself. I will make a decision in time," he concluded.
