Kylian Mbappe To Sign For Real Madrid Till 2029 in Upcoming Summer Window: Report

Another day, another twist in the tale of the Kylian Mbappe transfer saga. With recent reports of the Frenchman declaring his interest in taking his talents away from his current club Paris Saint-Germain, only one name has ruled over all his other potential destinations: Real Madrid.

According to an old report from Le Parisien which has been echoed by many outlets in Europe, Mbappe finally made his mind up about his future and stated his interest to join forces with Los Blancos in the upcoming summer window, after letting his contract with PSG run out.

But, the latest update of them all is even more staggering.

According to Spanish media outlet Marca, it is believed that Mbappe has already agreed to a contract with Los Blancos, which will keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu till 2029.

That’s not all though. Other rumours have arisen such as that of Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Perez, who has also reportedly told his players that Kylian Mbappe will be joining them next season.

Real have also reportedly gone out of their way to garner favour with the World-Cup winner, with other reports stating that Mbappe will inherit the cherished number 10 jersey upon joining their ranks.

Mbappe will not take his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo’s, famous No. 7 shirt unless Vinicius Junior leaves or decides he wants to change squad number, according to Mundo Deportivo. But with club icon and midfield maestro Luka Modric set to take leave from the Bernabeu at the end of the season, Mbappe will be free to don the esteemed number for himself with no hassle.

Why are Real Madrid so desperate for Mbappe? Well, apart from the obvious fact that Mbappe has already etched his name amongst a pantheon of football greats at his young age with even more upside to be tapped into, they have been on the hunt for a proper classic number 9 and a goal-scorer since the departure of their Ballon d’Or winner, Karim Benzema who made his way to Saudi Arabia.

Their lack of a lethal fox-in-the-box continues to be a glaring issue despite talents such as Bellingham and Vinicius Jr. stepping up to keep Los Blancos in contention for the league title. And with injuries plaguing their ranks, the need to sign yet another Galactico seems to have taken priority.

Given Mbappe’s previous U-turn over a move to the Bernabeu in 2022, there is always the possibility that he could change his mind until the deal is actually signed by both parties. However, his move to Madrid now finally looks set to come to fruition this summer.
