'It is Already Packed': Thomas Tuchel Jokes About His Impending Bayern Munich Exit After Win vs RB Leipzig
After last night's 2-1 last-minute thriller win for Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig, the Bayern boss joked about how his 'bag is already packed', referring to him watching over his team from the sidelines whilst poised atop a silver suitcase.

Thomas Tuchel may be in for a world of disappointment at the end of the season, but the German still manages to find the humor in these fleeting moments.

After last night’s 2-1 last-minute thriller win for Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig, the Bayern boss joked about how his ‘bag is already packed’, referring to him watching over his team from the sidelines whilst poised atop a silver suitcase.

Tuchel brought out the said silver suitcase after the end of the first half and, in typical Marcelo Bielsa fashion, sat atop it as he witnessed his side stage a roaring comeback win, thanks to an injury-time winner from Harry Kane.

When asked about the suitcase at a post-match press conference, Tuchel hit back at the media with a witty reply.

“I specially brought it from home. It’s an aluminium suitcase, all my things are inside, it is already packed.”

Tuchel is set to part ways with the Bavarians at the end of this season, upon ‘mutual agreement’ with Bayern Munich, as the defending German champions lie 8 points behind current league leaders Bayer Leverkusen.

Not only that, but Bayern are also on the verge of an early Champions League exit this  season, having lost 0-1 to Lazio in the first leg of their round of 16 fixture, and have already been knocked out of the DFB Pokal Cup.

Despite it all, Tuchel admitted after the game that he would have stayed in the Bavarian capital beyond the summer if the decision was up to him.

But the club has reportedly already started to scout for his replacement, and one unassuming yet interesting name that has popped up has been that of none other than the Bavarians’ current rival, Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso.

From battling relegation ton battling the Bavarians for the title, Alonso has been at the driver’s seat for Leverkusen this season, orchestrating a team that has looked unstoppable so far.

But, the fact of the matter is that Alonso is yet to sign an extension with Leverkusen, enticing clubs galore to take their chances at wooing the Spaniard.
